INJECTABLES- THE NONSURGICAL APPROACH
The number of non-invasive and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures has surged in the recent years. If you review the data from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the trends for cosmetic procedures demonstrate a shift from surgical to non-surgical.
Since year 2000: blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) down 36%, forehead lift down 69%, facelift down 8%, and rhinoplasty (nose job) down 47%. On the other hand, non-surgical procedures have increased remarkably since 2000. Botox is up 878%, while fillers, which didn’t even exist in 2000, are up 178% since 2005. It is safe to say that non-surgical cosmetic procedures are here to stay.
At UNPC Medical Aesthetics we take the time to get to know our patients and what they hope to achieve through treatment. Together, patients and Acute Perioperative Nurse Practitioner, Jessica White can design plastic and reconstructive procedure plans that leave them looking and feeling their best.
