What is Kybella?
Kybella (deoxycholic acid) used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe chin (submental fat), also called “double chin”. Kybella can be used to treat fat outside of the submental area such as underarms, lower abdomen, inner thighs, flanks, or outer thighs in patients 18 years and older. Kybella cellulite injectable may be right for you are unhappy, self-conscious, or embarrassed about fat that makes you look older or heavier than you desire. Kybella cellulite injectables are for people that do not want surgery and cannot loose the fat by diet and exercise alone.
How does Kybella Work?
Kybella is a prescription medicine with the active ingredient deoxychloric acid. Deoxychloric acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown of dietary fat. When injected into fat, Kybella destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in unwanted adipose tissues. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

Individual results may vary and treatment is tailored to the amount of fat and aesthetic goal. Multiple injections may be needed and the average participant in clinical trials received 3 total treatments. The maximum amount of treatments provided in clinical studies were up to 6 treatments spaced at least 1 month apart. Individual results vary based on the amount of adipose tissue in the treatment area, which determines the amount and frequency of treatments which can be discussed with your clinician

Side effects include swelling, bruising, or numbness around the treatment site. Tell your clinician if you have had previous cosmetic procedures to the area, have had bleeding problems, are taking aspirin or blood thinners, are pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
